Goodbye "DJ AM" – Rest In Peace!

Like so many other people it’s hard to put in words what Adam meant to us. I have included some links I found online from people that Adam touched and inspired. It truly is comforting to hear other people speak so highly of him. He opened a lot of doors for all of us “DJ’s” and as you will read online below, he was highly respected in the game. I had the pleasure of touring with him in 1999-2000. Kilmore, AM and I had scratch battles every chance we had back then.

One of my greatest memories of Adam was when he played Ruby Skye in New York. It was the first time I really witnessed the talent of his song selection and timing. Sure I seen him scratch and perform with his band, but this was different. He dropped so many tracks that I would never imagined would work in a NY club or anywhere for that matter. He rocked it the way he wanted to and the crowd ate it up. After the club we shared a ride to the W Hotel in Time Square talking about digging for records and Crazy Town getting kicked off the Ozzfest tour.

I have so many memories it’s hard to post them on a blog. AM was an amazing DJ and if you knew him an amazing human being. I hope you are finally at peace and enjoying life again free from all the pain. I’m sure you’re cutting and scratching it up from above. See you on the other side my friend. Rest In Peace!
